Star fruit can be easily found around the Hawaiian islands when it is in season. You can most likely find it at the local Farmer's Market or given away freely at a friend's home.

Star fruit looks like a star when it is sliced and looks beautiful on a platter or in a water pitcher. It's a great way to get your antioxidants internally for beautiful skin. Star fruit is high in vitamin A and vitamin C and also has a high fiber content. It is the perfect fruit to go because it travels well, much like an apple, and keeps you full. It is difficult to explain what Star Fruit tastes like  if you've never had, but I would say it tastes like a watered down tangerine with a hint of mountain apple.
